Our two centres in Monmouthshire offer bags of opportunity for camping as well as staying in dormitory accommodation.
At Gilwern, our largest site at 15 acres, there is a large field close to the River Usk where we can accommodate regional Scout/Guide type jamborees and other large camping groups. There is access to water and toilets there so groups can be quite separate from the centre itself.
Hilston Park also has extensive grounds which offer facilities for camping and can accommodate smaller camping groups, such as Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions.
The lodge at Hilston Park has been converted into accommodation for small self-catering groups. The lodge is suitable for up to ten people (bunk bed accommodation) within the grounds of Hilston Park in Monmouthshire.
Close to the three castles walk, four castles cycle route, Forest of Dean mountain biking and rivers Monnow and Wye.
Perfect for a week end away for families, friends or clubs looking for a comfortable base.
Great venue for Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition training and assessments.
The Blorenge Lodge makes an excellent base for self catering groups of up to 38. The lodge is all on one level and we have a specialist accessible wing with facilities designed for those with limited physical ability. All bedrooms have their own shower and toilet amenities. The centre is a few minutes from Abergavenny and close to the Clydach gorge with extensive cave systems, off road cycling, the Monmouth and Brecon canal and Black mountains.
